A Banner Year at Mercer

Hip, hip, hooray for our new banner! It was debuted at the Mercer County Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, September 12th. Many thanks to Lori for spearheading this endeavor. The Paddlefish raced in the first heat, so our day started very early. But so sweet that we were at the site to see the misty calm before all hell broke loose.

NO MERCY AT MERCER

The field was jam packed with top-flight teams vying for points to take them to the Club Crew Championship Races in Australia in 2016. Wall Street, DCH, Dead Presidents, Schuylkill, Vermont Dragonheart, and the list goes on. The Paddlefish put forth a valiant effort but, alas, no medals. This was the first year the team did not qualify for the 2K. But now we know what we have to do to up our game!

Our new paddler, Praddy, showed his flexibility (and his great eye through a camera lens capturing the spirit of the team) as a last minute stand in for one of the injured regulars. Thanks Praddy, you added a happy light to this event!
