The team dinner on October 21st was held for the first time at Grant Bar and Restaurant in Millvale. The new venue provided a private room and efficient service. We had a large turnout to celebrate the year and to elect the new Steering Committee for 2015-2016.
Coach Bob was the MC. Thanks all around to the outgoing members of the Steering Committee for their great job. Coach also presented a new Coach’s Award in recognition of outstanding service to the Paddlefish. This year two awards were presented to Marie Hirsch and Jim Robertson. The recipients were each awarded lovely engraved plaque.
Our bevy of new members was linked to the last new members in a ritual that Coach Bob began last year. Thanks to a solid season of the Adult Dragon Boat League, we have fabulous Fresh Pfish!
Re-elected Kathi RD added to our enjoyment by secreting revealing that she did LOVE being Captain. She was a reluctant draftee last year! She also introduced and thanked our TRRA Board Representatives, Judy Robertson and Linda Raschiatore. They are continuing in this role for another year. Judy and Linda have been excellent advocates for the team!
